Tudor repair

New postby derbymike » Fri May 06, 2011 3:14 pm

Hello everyone,
I am looking for a watchmaker to repair a watch for me .
The watch is a Tudor with an FHF movement.
The watch was working OK until I got home a while ago and when I took off my wind breaker, I saw that the crystal was gone from my watch.
The second hand was broken off. I re-traced my steps and found the crystal.
I had the watch looked at, and the repairman says that a pin is gone from the balance bridge.
I am told that this is most likely a "steady pin ", and that a watchmaker can cut one and replace the missing part.
The watch needs more than a service--it needs a second hand, and repair of the balance bridge.
Please contact me if you are interested in the project.
Thank you,
Mike

I'd be happy to do the repair. I give free estimates, and I've done some work for others on this site.

Hello Mr. Hadfield !,
I'm sure glad to hear from you.
How do we get started ? can you send me your mailing address, and any requirements that you have ?
I can send a note requesting service/ repair Can I pay you with pay pal ?
I definitely need a watchmaker.
I have a man doing " clean--oil --regulate on old watches--he is a Bulova guy , but does Elgins and all the rest.
I have no problems with him, but I have too many projects and I simply want to build a business relationship with more than one company.
Please let me know how to get started.
