hello
I am just checking in as a new member, my interest is in collecting pocket watches and as a lot of them are not working, I have started trying to clean and fix them, I have retired but was an aircraft engineer and my last job was making laser focusing units.I have included a couple of photos of two of my colection.

My name is Hap Cardwell and I am checking in as a new member. I have collected American pocket watches for about 30 years. I was a consultant designing high voltage circuitry for use in satellites and have recently been forced to retire. I designed and built a home in Carson City, NV and have started working on watches again. I met and became friends with Marty Bell (Marty101) and he directed me to this forum. I look forward to being part of this group. Thank you Hap

Re: New member checking in....

New postby wnlewis » Sat Jan 21, 2017 6:06 am

Just to introduce myself. I am wnlewis (Neal Lewis) and am here because I have three wrist watches and three pocket watches that I want to put in good running condition.

They are: a Hamilton 992B Railway special in the stainless steel case, a World War II US Army military issue Waltham, and my grandfather's over 100 year old Elgin. The wrist watches include my dad's old Armitron, his Accutron, and a very nice Casio with recording function.

So, a rather eclectic collection.

Thanks in advance for help and information.
