This is a time clock I met on the way to Canberra. The owner was happy for me to take pictures of it but I could not get inside to see the works.
Perhaps someone has one like it and can tell us a bit more about it.

Hi This type of clock were made by most of the large time clock companies ie IBM, Cincinnati, Stromburg. Simplex. The top mechanism were an 8 day dual spring wind some made by Seth Thomas and others. the lower mechanism were driven by a shaft from the clock movement to the time printing mechanism. Most were cam driven. The minute wheel were in 60 increments, a cam then advanced the hour wheel 1 hour then after 24 hours a cam would chance the day. After 24 hours a cam would move the high of yhe card. Put in a time card move to the correct in or out slot and then pull the handle down to print. It may sound confusing but it is not. I worked on thesetypes for 35 years
With the invention of the synchronous motors that turned 1 rpm they became very simple. Most were driven off a 1 rpm cam.
