Just another idea

On another site I play on they have a facility for members to create photo albums.
You can make the album private and only share with selected people or public for all to see.
When you create your posts instead of putting any pictures in the post itself you simply link to the pictures in your album.
Album must be set to public to be used for posts.

People upload pictures the same as they would to any other picture site.

I no not how it is done but it works well and allows you to see at a glance all the pictures you have uploaded.
From the site end the links are never broken cause the pictures are at the site not elsewhere.
Pictures are only visible to registered members. Blowins just get the text.

Just sharing an idea someone else uses.
Learning all the time.

Not a bad idea, and it might kill 2-3 birds with one stone too.

Further to the above it works thus -

When I create a post I do so in the usual way.
When I want to add a picture I click on the "insert picture" button available at the bottom of the posting screen.
This takes me to my picture albums. You can have more than 1.
I select a picture and click on it and the system adds the required reference into my post at the curser.
