Got this last week. I haven't seen many of these over the years myself.

Dial is perfect-but the hands-!-not a hint of blue left...So,I went all out. I made her some very delicate Time Zone hour hands.

I think she deserved the effort.

She ran spot on for over 42 hours. I think she appreciated it.

Just a beautiful Waltham.

PS-those WI hands are a real pain to blue. :)

Very nice Marty,
You did a great job on the clean up on the hands, and it sure seems to be in nice shape.
I also only have 1 WI.
These watches intrique me, and I would like to have more than the one I do have, but for the most part they are price inhibitive, at least to myself.
I am sure you have seen this pic before, but I am as proud as you, with my WI. I have only heard of 9 other with this dial. By the way my dial has been cleaned up since this picture was taken.
I see yours also does not have the Lossier on it ?

Does a variation of Crescent St. WI's have the "Lossier" on a wheel? :?:

I don't know-all I do know is these Cr.St. aren't seen as often as Vanguards. I had a pal who insisted I try for it,so I tossed a low bid so he'd leave me alone. I got lucky,as you can see.

Now,as for red hands on these dual hour jobs, that just seems to be a trait I just can't sand, polish, blue or beat outta these! ;)
And I'll tell you men something else-these thin hour hands are a challenge I don't need twice. I got started, got stubborn, and here we are...you won't see me showing off another pair like these.
Keep winding things,
