I finally bought one,just couldn't resist any longer. :)
I admit the dial got to me,but the early serial number did too. Just got her in hand yesterday and showing her off,friends-

"Resistance is futile"....

Nice looking watch!
I like the bold numbers and large bold hands.

Nice find!

Another nice feature about your early 950 B is the gold gear train.
Somewhere between S/N S 3688 and S/N S 3824 Hamilton changed over from a gold gear train to a brass train.

Marty,
Love your 950B! Now you need the 950, 950E, and a 950P? Not sure about that one. I have a 950E with a model 5 case and the same dial and hands yours has. I wouldn't part with it for anything. By the way, which store sells these because I'd like to buy one... :D :D

You definitely picked a great example, congrats! I was the second place bidder and think you got a great buy.

Speaking of second place.....
I sometimes hesitate to post a watch I might have just won in an auction because I think I might upset the second place bidder.
It is good to see that the second place bidder in this case is graciously bowing to the winner of the auction.

Thanks for adding that to your post Fred.

Wow,I didn't really expect such a response! And it also looks like I'm not alone when it comes to impulse control. Guess I'm in the right place... to be enabled.
Ray,you old pocket watch pusher... ;)
And Ed,thanks for that;I wondered. The early serial number caught my attention right away, and earlier is always better in my opinion.
Mike T - that dial is a big deal on these. (Even I know that.) Did you catch the * notation near the bottom of page 229 in the Guide?
