Haller 190,66 Mantel Clock.

New postby supertramp » Mon Jul 28, 2014 7:37 pm

I have acquired a Mantel Clock with a Haller 190,66 movement.( I Know very little about the subject , I just liked it)
It would not run for more than a few moments at a time.
Having read a little on the internet I removed the movement and applied the correct type of Oil.
The clock now runs nicely as do the Westminster Chimes.
However it runs slow even though the Pendulum is adjusted as far up as it can go.
Any suggestions to resolve?

Probably needs to be cleaned and oiled if it sat around for a long time.

Most likely needs bushings, not uncommon, and a thorough cleaning, includingthe main springs as well.
