Memories ...

Found during Spring cleaning. It brought a smile to my face.

Glyn,
I have one of those collecting dust somewhere. We can put them together, but they could not bring the price for a cup of coffee. In fact, we most likely be charged double !

I had forgotten about the uproar that caused the revocation of the chapter.

It was a good idea. I was thinking of them a while back. Saw a old picture of Mr Crockett when he came here to visit me and a few other members of Chapter 111, Ottawa.

Yes, Tom, mine was check (cheque) #1. I held on to it for a while and then cashed it. Six or seven of us were relieved of our membership by the man behind the curtain and then victory came to us in the form of three principal Chapter 185 officers being booted out of the NAWCC. They were interesting times and victory was sweet.

And that is the simple story behind the birth of global-horology.com.

Its difficult for me to believe the people who have joined that group and the ones that stayed in it, considering what happened. My postings are on there still and i wish they were not, he refers to me as Kevin Pest on the postings i made.

That's almost Pesto, Kevin. Very useful in spaghetti sauces. ;)

Karma doesn't taste so good in spaghetti sauce.

My sister-in-law has a sign in her house: “Karma is only a b*tch if you are”

It still riles me how they stole all of our intellectual assets. At least they left my name alone but many, like Kevin, had their names changed on their postings. The whole affair was so dishonest. Unfortunately I would bet that most of the newer members there have any no inkling of the sordid past.

Very true Jerry, its too bad new members there, after us, have no idea of how they operated in the past.
And if you dont like a person, why bother keep their postings on your web site.
Glyn did a good thing starting this web site. I am glad to be part of it.

Luckily I had never heard of them until the big blow up. Of all the websites, this one is the friendliest.
