Serial Number look up for Elgin and Hamilton

I don't know how many are already aware of it but there is a pretty good online lookup site for Elgin and Hamilton pocket watches at this site.

http://pocketwatchdatabase.com/search/r ... n/41225246

I've been trying it out today and so far it looks good. The Elgin info is taken from the now defunct elginwatch.org site. Somebody had downloaded everything from there before it stopped functioning and now another guy has recompiled it into the present site

The same site will also yield data about South Bend watches also. :)

I looked up several movements on this site and it seems to be accurate for the most part. The only movements I looked up that seemed to conflict other info I had gathered before(not sure what site) was concerning Hamilton 992E movements.I looked up 3 992E movements that I thought were all 1936s the #s were between 2621•••,2622•••, and 2622••• but the site placed them in the 1933-34 range which seems to be right if thay were 992s but I thought that were all 1936s,but you never know the info I had got before could have been wrong.

Now this brings me to my question.Do all 992E serial #s fall in line with the 992L Serial #s or do thay have nothing to do with one another?? Thanks for any help guys.
