Bid on watch auctions in Japan - Yahoo! Japan Auctions agent

GH Members can run their own auctions of horological items here or participate in some public auctions using Global Horology as a proxy. Please read the forum rules.
Forum rules
If you want to run your own auction here you must be at least 18 years of age and be a GH Member to participate in this forum. Registered users need to have their address verified by the message board management before they can be ranked as GH Members .

There are four basic rules for running your own auction:
1) Auction presentations must fully disclose the condition and known provenance of the items being sold, including any information that might influence a potential buyer. Selling an item "as is" will indicate that the item is not running reliably and should be considered as needing work or to be used for parts only.
2) You are responsible for running your own auctions, so you must be available to mind the auction and to post notice when the auction ends.
3) You may decide to cancel an auction before the original stated end-time or extend it, but you should make this clear by posting that on the auction topic when it starts.
4) When the auction has finished, you should post notice of its completion and the name of the winner.

A completed auction is a contract. Any disputes should be referred to the message board management, whose decision will be final.

Bid on watch auctions in Japan - Yahoo! Japan Auctions agent

You can help us with our running costs at Global Horology by asking us to act as your agent for bidding on watches at auction on Yahoo! Japan Auctions.

There are often some very interesting and desirable items on sale in Japan. However, anyone not resident in Japan will find it very difficult to register and participate in auctions such as Yahoo! Japan Auctions (launched in September 1999, and the largest auction site in Japan). eBay does not operate in Japan, although Japan residents can participate in eBay auctions outside Japan.

For a minimal $10 fee, you can ask Global Horology to bid on a watch up for auction on the Yahoo! Japan Auction site.

If you win, you will receive full assistance in having your purchase paid for, checked by us, and then shipped to you using Japan Post EMS service (insured, express, signed-for, trackable). Currently our fees for winning an auction are: a percentage of the sale price (10%, with a $25 minimum); actual PayPal and bank transfer fees; shipping and handling fees (usually no more than $20 - depends on the size and weight of the package).

Payments by PayPal in advance.

I'll be posting some selections of watches on sale in Japan. Please peruse and feel free to ask questions. Also, ask me if you are looking for something in particular that you don't see in this topic.

Here is a link to watch auctions on Yahoo! Auctions Japan. For some reason (maybe because of the Japanese text) the link is not complete for clicking so please copy the whole link and paste it into the address panel of your browser. If you find any particular item is of interest please copy the URL from the Yahoo site and paste it here with any questions that you might have ...
