Self-winding (Automatic) (In French: remontage automatique)

A mechanism that winds the mainspring by using the movement of the arm to rotate a rotor which winds the mainspring.

This ETA/Valjoux 7750 movement from a Wikipedia article on ETA SA clearly shows the rotor.
