To determine the watch size measure the diameter of the dial side of the main plate (also called pillar plate). Here is a chart to convert from inches or mm to American watch sizes Shugart's Watch Guide has a chart to convert mm or inches to American watch sizes or Lignes.

Did you see the Dueber cases this site has? I had no idea that a company still existed-in the USA too. It just warms my heart that somewhere those are still being made. :D
